Playlist: Aussie Faves

While recapping our travels through Australia, I got to thinking about which playlist I wanted to post next. I’ve got a killer surf rock playlist that would vibe well with Australia’s surf culture…but all the songs on it just give off such a distinctly American surf / garage rock sound, it didn’t make sense to post yet. You’ll have to hold out for that one coming down the line in the future or check out my longer Surfset Master List if you’ve got some serious time on your hands.
Then I started counting up all the amazing Australian artists in my music library. Some one-hit wonders (Natalie Imbruglia, I’m lookin’ at you), pop bangers (hello, Savage Garden), 80s SLAPPERS (Divinyls, wassup), and some of my all-time favorites of today (ahem, Tame Impala).
With all the amazing music that has come out of Oz over the decades, I decided to compile all my faves and it’s quite the killer list. Maybe not the most sound-cohesive playlist I’ve ever done, but full of hits all the same. Tune in below, and head to Spotify to hear it all.
