Playlist: Surfset
This playlist has been in the works for a looooong time, like as in it’s one of the first playlists Sam ever started creating. It’s actually the paired-down version of this super huge, 8+ hour-long Surfset Master List, which you can jam to if you’ve got some serious time on your hands (think, Cali road trip?).
We’re always into surfy garage rock, but there’s no better time for these jams than the height of summer.
We’re also in the middle of prepping for a Labor Day getaway to San Diego and down the Baja Peninsula to Ensenada, and these tunes are really setting the mood.
A few highlights? Surfer Blood, Wavves, and Twin Peaks, all of which we were lucky enough to see live in San Francisco, White Reaper, who we’ve been dying to see for years (and it’s finally happening in Oct ‘19 in Denver!), and Ty Segall, one of our absolute faves who pumps out so many albums per year it hardly feels like work…but we also wish he would tour more so we could see him!
